Lesson learned: Sometimes we can't just simply change one's perception by force.
There's one thing that I truly dislike, which is being forced. I think it's really disrespectful to force someone to do something or to change. I believe all of us have this experience of being forced and we know that it doesn't feel good at all.
Recently, I came across a game friend who tried to convince me to join his "business" which is something that sounds like direct sales or multi-level marketing to me. He asked me out, told me to give him at least a chance. I said to him I didn't like this kinda stuffs and I'd not be interested in that, we could go out for karaoke and chill but not for this "business".
Then, he started to get really aggressive, trying hard to change my perception and to impress me. In the middle of conversation he asked "What's your dream? Do you even have one?". And I told him of course I do have one, but I would not like to share with him.
He just constantly tried to challenge my perception, trying to shape a change in my thoughts. Gosh, I told him not to waste time on me because I'd not simply be changed. Somehow, he insisted his stand, and had a real struggle to change me.
Sometimes, I think that some people who are too ego just get a little too irritating that they won't listen to what you say; or maybe they listen, but won't accept the differences, insisting that they are right. What really upsets me is when someone tries so hard to change my thoughts and my personality, that's really distasteful!
My conclusion is that it's really unwise to try too hard to shape a quick change. Real changes just don't come too fast, they take time. And sometimes, changes cannot be forced.
I really wanted to say this so much, but I didn't, "Don't debate with me, don't try to challenge my views anymore, okay? I don't like them at all".
Slow down dude, don't get too aggressive that you scare me away!

New year, new start, new blog
Hello dear friends, welcome to year of 2010.
Here I am to start my English blog. Why create an English blog when I already have a Chinese one? Hmm, it's simply because I see the need for me to write a little more in English. I need to improve my English!
Also, in my Chinese blog, I never loved to write about routines in life. Perhaps I can do those here. =D As I share some stupid daily-life-stuffs here with you, I get to express myself more in English, thereby improving my English language. XD
I think I'll try to keep this like a diary or journal whatever you like to call it. Hmm, currently I have nothing very special to share with you my dear friends, no special thoughts.
And I haven't been reading for some time(on break now), mind's getting very plain. Uh, I should really pick up the habit of reading, instilling some"insights" into daily lives. And you know what, I buy books pretty often, but the speed of my reading never catches up with the speed of buying! Laziness is a sin!
Alright, I'd stop here for this time. Hopefully the next time I am here I have something better to share with you people rather than writing something dull and plain. =D
Wish you all a very wonderful new year.
